About Nature Cures®
The author of this website, Nat H Hawes, has been researching the relationship between food, nutritional science and health since 2003. Concerned about her father’s pharmaceutical-induced health problem’s led to her systematic study of the area, and her decision to share this knowledge, in order to promote awareness of the power of natural healthy foods and the importance of all nutrients in the diet.
This sharing began with this website, which went live in 2010, to which she has single-handedly added health disorders, natural foods and remedies, nutrients and hazards to human health, almost every day, while it continued to grow in international popularity.
In 2020, she wrote the definitive book on the subject of natural health Nature Cures®, which was published by Hammersmith Health Books who also published the 6 following books she also wrote:

The website had received almost four million visitors from all over the world by 2020 and acted as a sort of barometer of health concerns globally. Since launching the website, she has gained diplomas in holistic nutrition, advanced nutrition with distinction and sports nutrition.
Initially, she discovered that it was impossible to find trustworthy and simplified resources of what nutrients natural foods contain and what was required to rectify health disorders naturally, all in one place, without misleading advertising.
Whilst awaiting eye surgeries to correct her own corneal dystrophy, in 2003, she decided to set up an easily navigated alphabetical resource and this has grown to what you find here today.
Nat strongly believes that fad diets and artificial supplements are not the answer to the world’s human health issues. She also believes that cheap chemical additives, excessive medications, pesticide and herbicide use, processed and refined foods and the toxic soup we live in today from chemical cleaners, cosmetics, transportation and industrial pollution plus nutrient deficiencies are causing many of the human ailments that have sharply risen in the last 50 years.
The brand-new upgraded version of the original website went live in 2025 with the help of her dedicated new tech team and will continue to be updated regularly.
