Rhodium is a chemical element with the atomic number 45 and, together with ruthenium, palladium, osmium, iridium, and platinum, forms a group of elements referred to as the platinum group metals (PGM). The main use of rhodium in industry is as an alloying agent for hardening platinum and palladium.
