A-Z OF BACTERIA

The following is a list of bacteria, the conditions they can cause in some people and the corresponding natural antibiotic plants that have been found in scientific studies to be effective against them. It is by no means the full list but it may be worth trying some of the natural antibiotics when fighting off such infections. Be aware that some herbs have as powerful properties as drugs and may cause side effects in some individuals especially if taking any medications. Make sure to take them under the supervision of an experienced naturopath or herbalist.

It should be noted that most healthy active humans will not be affected by many of the following bacteria. Many only become pathogenic if the immune system is compromised, due to other health issues such as HIV/AIDS, leaky gut or allergies or after injury or surgery where the wounds may become infected and allow the bacteria access into the bloodstream.

The botanical names for the antibiotic plants below are included in brackets. To find out more about these plants scroll down this page and follow the blue links for each one.

Remember to bookmark this page and return periodically as it is constantly updated when scientists discover more strains of bacteria and plants that can fight infections.
